About MBS Media Campus
Built in 1999 by Shamrock Holdings of California for the Roy E. Disney family, MBS Media Campus is one of the industry’s newest, largest and most structurally and technologically advanced production lots.
The 22-acre studio campus touts 15 sound stages, totaling 385,000 square feet. Designed and constructed for optimal production efficiency, the stages have contiguous access to their corresponding production offices and support spaces. The lot also offers additional office space in its Media Center, abundant production support space and a backlot with a New York Street.
MBS Media Campus serves as headquarters of Lightstorm Entertainment, Lucas Film, Industrial Light and Magic, and other well-known production companies.
Production filmed at the campus include Lightstorm’s Avatar sequels; Lucas Film’s The Mandalorian, Obi Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett; Marvel’s The Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man 2; The CW’s Jane the Virgin; CBS’ Scorpion, HBO’s Insecure, Fox’s Rosewood, Showtime’s Roadies, ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos and Disney’s Diary of a Female President, as well as many others.

MBS Media Campus is situated in Manhattan Beach in Los Angeles’ South Bay, just a few blocks west of the 405 and a few miles inland from the beach, which make it the ideal California location—nearly year-round sunny weather and miles of dazzling sand and surf.
It is also less than four miles from LAX International Airport and within walking distance to award-winning restaurants and chic shops. Downtown Manhattan Beach, alone, is home to more than 250 retailers, restaurants and locally owned businesses.
